MAC BLOT POWDER REVIEWS SERIES
The MAC Unsung Heroes series features some of my favorite products from MAC’s permanent collection Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, That’s what I do when my t-zone resembles an oil slick. Try a 50/50 blend of Careblends and Blot. You just might want to mix them with an oil absorbing powder to help the keep shine at bay. Shoot, even if you have hyperactive sebaceous glands, I think they’re still worth a try.
MAC BLOT POWDER REVIEWS SKIN
Who might want to give them a try? Guys and girls with dry or combination skin types who like more natural looks might want to give ’em a try. They photograph really well, especially combined with MAC Face and Body, my current foundation crush. My combination dry/oily skin also loves the way they feel - lightweight, smooth, almost like nothing at all - and they love the camera, too. Worn on either on bare skin or atop foundation, the Careblends look naturally flawless to me, like real skin, and I can’t remember seeing one ever look chalky. 🙂 It’s a $24 sheer-to-medium coverage tinted pressed powder with a finish a hint glossier than matte. So what exactly is a Careblends Pressed Powder? Is it a cuddly technicolor bear with an identifying icon on its tum? They come in eight shades and live in MAC’s permanent line, although they occasionally make appearances as limited edition colors in collections like the Surfbaby launch. So I will try MAC Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder as that claim to mattify as well.I know I’ve raved about them before. I would like to try a real translucent powder since I notice the issue *the only one* I had with this. Overall I am satisfied with this product but I'm not sure if I want to repurchase it. It last long as you don't need to use much so it's worth the spend.

The compact is fine, come with a mirror and the price is MAC standard, £20.00. Probably if I get my exact shade it looks better? or better, if it's a translucent instead. Nevertheless, it is light in texture so it doesn't affect much. So it does not really matches my skin tone and I'm annoyed as it does give off a bit of ashyness after I got the 'perfect' second skin look with my Mineralized Skinfinish Natural. One thing I notice, when comparing Medium Dark Blot Powder with the one from Mineralized Skinfinish Natural, it's lighter in shade.

I wouldn't say this powder worsen it though. When I had issue with flaky dry skin I would avoid using this or just use this on tip of my nose *because oily nose tip is never flattering* as I think it's unnecessary. So those who obviously have problem with these ingredients, just stay away or use it to your own risk. Though this product is a simple science of being heavy with MICA and SILICA which absorbed the oil, as MAC has clearly claimed. I have not got any bad reaction from this and I trust this product. I still use this but more sparingly and really that's enough. Generally, I think my skin is less oily than it used to be, even in the summer or when I'm back in Ampang's hot tropical climate *generally my skin improved with age, lol*. I used to dust it like crazy before when it's actually not necessary, but I learned now. This combination gave me a natural glow with reduced shine. You definitely don't need much and currently I don't wear it as much as before. The MAC Blot Powder does reduce my shininess and oiliness and I think my makeup last better and my Mineralized Skinfinish Natural work better with this powder.
